1. Ensure that the collet is closed.
2. Pull the pin and roller out of the channel of the chuck and feed cam drum to enable free movement of the feed lever.
3. Move the feed lever to its most forward position.
4. Open the collet.
5. Pull the feed lever to its fully back position to pull the bar out of the collet.
6. Pull the feed slide guide latch out of the way to allow the roller of the bronze feed slide to pass to the left side of the pin.
7. The feed tube assembly should be free to pull out. Do not let the bronze feed slide fall while removing.
8. To remove the stock from the feed tube assembly, use the stock reel as a counter force to get the stock free of the feed fingers.
9. The stock can be pulled out of the back of the stock reel if long enough, pulled out of the front of the stock reel if short and flexible enough. If neither of these are true, then another bar of stock can be used to push the bar out the back of the stock reel. If only a small amount of reach is required for the bar to stick out the back of the stock reel, then a small bar can be used to push the stock by inserting it in between the stock reel and feed tube. If the stock must be pushed very far then stock can be fed backwards through the sub spindle, collet and feed tube to push the stock out of the stock reel.
