Collet Installation Steps

1. Emergency stop the machine. 

2. Loosen the stock reel set screw and pull the stock reel back. 

3. Insert the collet wrench into the spindle so that it extends into the work zone. 

4.Link the collet to the collet wrench using collet wrench pins. 

5. Pull the collet back using the wrench while holding the felt washer to ensure it does not lock up. Tighten the collet into the head. Use the hand bar in the collet wrench for additional torque. Use the gear wrench to bind up the spindle drive ring gear while tightening. After tight, check the felt washer is able to spin. If it cannot then loosen the collet to correct its placement. 

6. Release the pins of the collet wrench and pull the wrench out.

7.Push the stock reel back in and tighten the stock reel set screw.
